Welcome to the website of the Black Writers Reunion & Conference, the ultimate conference in the U.S. and internationally for Black creative writers since 2000. Our retreat lends inspired conference attendees and writers simply seeking a few days away from busy lives the chance to focus on their writing for extended blocks of time with mentors who help keep you on track.
ONE-HOUR FICTION WRITING WORKSHOP
For those new to the craft who aren’t prepared to commit to two full days of writing and publishing education, bestselling, award-winning author and professor Dr. Angela Benson offers a one-hour workshop on how to write and publish your book, Wednesday evening, August 29 at the African-American Heritage Research Library & Cultural Center in Fort Lauderdale. Admission is ONLY $10.
SCREENWRITING WEBINAR WITH WRITER/PRODUCER OF HBO'S Band Of Brothers.
On August 1 at 1 PM I’ll be teaching a 90-minute webinar for The Writers Store on “Creating Original Series Ideas and Writing Spec Pilots.” You can listen live on your computer and submit questions.
